  3. You are advised to spend an equal amount of time on each section.
  4. Dictionaries and textbooks are not allowed in the examination room.
  5. Cell phones are not allowed in the examination room.

SECTION A [20 Marks]

You are advised to spend not more than 50 minutes on this section.
Write on one of the following topics.
You should write between 250 and 350 words. Words written beyond the word limit will not be considered to be part of your composition.

  1. Write a story ending: " ... Only through my foolish behaviour did I find myself in this situation."
  2. Describe a nightmare which became a reality.
  3. Explain how youths can create their own employment.
  4. Write a story with one of the following titles:
    Either
    (a) My Lucky Day or
    (b) Used and Abandoned
  5. Young people of nowadays do not work as hard as their parents did when they were young. Discuss.
  6. The introduction of Computer Studies to all schools is progressive. Argue for or against this statement.

SECTION B [20 marks]

You are advised to spend about 50 minutes on this section.
You have been asked to write a report on the achievements the new Headteacher of Lukundo Secondary School has made in the two years he has been in office.
Below are the notes for you to use to write the report:

  • appointed Headteacher, January, 2015
  • many teachers upgraded their qualifications
  • renovated infrastructure
  • bought big school bus
  • built six teachers' houses
  • acquired a generator for electricity
  • Expanded Projects — Production Unit
